CVE-2017-6742Cisco routers — a management packet that overflows

A crafted packet to the network management service (SNMP) of Cisco's router software overflows a buffer, and the device either reloads or runs the attacker's code. Every version of the protocol is affected.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Install the fixed Cisco release, and restrict the management service to the addresses that actually poll it — the community string is the only barrier otherwise.
