CVE-2023-22515Confluence — attackers made themselves administrators

External attackers created their own administrator accounts on internet-facing Confluence Data Center and Server instances through a flaw Atlassian did not know about. Sites hosted by Atlassian on its own domain are not affected.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Upgrade Confluence to a fixed release, then audit the administrator list. The attack leaves behind an account that looks entirely legitimate, which is the point of it.
